In celebration of the 150th anniversary of the founding of Aiken County, the public is invited to attend an evening reception from 6 to 8 p.m. to view the newly redone County History Exhibit. The exhibit itself has been updated with new information and is featured in new and different ways, including directional speakers and an interactive kiosk with a touchscreen where visitors can listen to voices telling about events and places related to the exhibit. The interactive kiosk is part of the new Recollections: Oral History Program. The directional speakers were made possible by a grant from the County Accommodation Tax Commission.
Beer and wine will be served, along with light refreshments. The event is free and requires no reservations.
