“In celebration of the museum’s 50th anniversary, we decided to give them $35,000, especially since they are in the process of renovating the museum” said Judi Romeo, president of the Friends of the Aiken County Historical Museum.  “The Aiken County Historical Museum has been referred to many times as a jewel of Aiken, and we hope that this donation will help turn that jewel into a crown.”
