Our Guest Speaker will be Marty Bailey.

Marty was born and raised in Texas; she moved to Aiken when she married her husband, a true Aikenite. Volunteering at the train museum and the county historic museum, she learned about and fell in love with Aiken, where she has opened her own private touring service, sharing Aiken’s rich history with her patrons.

Mary C. Driscoll

Mary Driscoll has approximately 40 years’ experience in higher education and nonprofit management, with strengths in the areas of alumni relations, public relations, annual/capital/planned giving campaigns, board development, volunteer management, and relationship building.

After retiring from the University of South Carolina Aiken, she helped increase foundation assets from $25M to $40M and supplemented the USCA budget by $3M per year. Mary oversaw the “More Than a Game” campaign that resulted in the new permanent home for the USCA Men’s Golf Team as well as the First Tee Aiken 9-hole leadership training course and building.

Prior to her 10-year tenure at USCA, Ms. Driscoll worked for St. Bonaventure University (SBU), the University of Florida (UF) ,and the Rehabilitation Center of Western NY. She played a critical role in the 150th Anniversary Campaign for SBU, which raised more than $95M, and she spearheaded the $15M state-of-the-art Swan Business Center. During her time at UF, she collaborated with UF and Johns Hopkins on a $1M research grant, increased annual giving by 15% her first year, and increased board development by 50%.

She has served on various boards, including the YMCA of WNY, Home Care and Hospice, Rotary International, and the North Augusta Foundation. She has also been a member of C.A.S.E., AFP, PRSA, and APRA.

Dan has been married to Lynn Gluvna for 53 years. They have one daughter, Brie Arthur, an accomplished horticulturalist and author.
